This Privacy Policy describes how StareMe ("we," "our," "us," or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
StareMe uses your device's front-facing camera to detect blinks and look-aways during gameplay. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device in real time and are never uploaded, transmitted, stored, or shared with us or any third party. No images, video, or biometric identifiers leave your phone.
The camera is only active while you are playing a round. You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device settings; without it, the game cannot function.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the StareMe mobile application ("the app," "we," "our," "us"). By installing, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
By downloading, installing, or using StareMe, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the StareMe Team.
You must be at least 13 years old to use StareMe. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the app. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we reasonably believe belong to users under 13.
If you sign in with Google to access cloud features (leaderboards, cross-device sync), you agree to:

The StareMe app — including its name, logo, code, artwork, animations, sound effects, and gameplay design — is owned by the StareMe Team and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Some animation assets are used under third-party licenses (see Credits section). You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without our written permission.
The display name you choose appears on public leaderboards visible to other users. By submitting a username, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the app. You are solely responsible for the username you choose, and you confirm that it does not infringe on any third party's rights.
StareMe displays optional rewarded video ads served through Google AdMob. By choosing to watch an ad, you receive an in-game reward (such as a shield charge). We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Ads are subject to Google's privacy and content policies.
StareMe involves staring at a screen and minimizing blinking. You should:
You play the game at your own risk. We are not responsible for any physical or psychological discomfort that may result from gameplay.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy of blink detection, leaderboard rankings, or any other game feature.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the StareMe Team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (which, for a free app, is zero).
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Upon termination, your license to use the app ends, but the provisions of these Terms that should reasonably survive (intellectual property, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the app.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kerala, India.
If you are using the app from outside India, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
What gets deleted: Google email, display name, profile photo URL, all game scores, rank progress, and referral records. The app does not store camera frames — face detection runs on-device only.
What is retained: No personal data is retained after deletion. Anonymous, aggregated leaderboard statistics may persist with no link to you.
